Ryan Ragan is a home grown surfer from the Daytona Beach area and has over 35 years of professional surf experience. Vast Oceans was created out of Ryan's love for the sand, surf and sun. Vast Oceans is located under the iconic sign boasting Daytona Beach as the World's Most Famous Beach. Vast Oceans offers a 5-star experience and is dedicated to teaching ocean safety, technique, style, stance, and balance. Surfing, paddle boarding, eco tours and surf camps are available for all ages.

FAQs

  • Do I need to be a strong swimmer before attending a lesson?

    No, we never take you past your comfort level and you will be in waist deep water throughout the lesson allowing you to always stand up in the water.

  • What kind of board will I use during my surf lesson?

    You will begin on foam oft top boards with a hard plastic bottom and rubber fins - making your experience fun and safe. The boards are new and thick for added buoyancy, which allows for great paddling. The boards are also wide for stability. We guarantee to get you up on the board and surfing during your first lesson or your second lesson is free.
