This holiday season, the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is aiming to spread the warmth and light of hospitality with its guests and the local community. With a versatile display of holiday decor, we hope to bring a little extra cheer to everyone who walks the halls of our Hilton. We are asking the help of Daytona Beach's student population to do so.
Beginning October 30th, the Hilton will be hosting a wreath decorating contest. Students are encouraged to represent their cultures and holiday traditions with their submissions. It is extremely important to note our goal is to display a wide variety of cultures in order to accurately represent the beautiful diversity of our country. Students are invited to deviate from the traditional wreath appearance and be creative with the materials and format they use.
Each school is allotted one submission per student and the winning submission will receive a $1,000 donation for its school's Art department. The winner will be selected based on ability to communicate the diversity of America and/or their cultural holiday traditions.
The wreaths will be displayed in the hotel through January 2018. Please drop all submissions off at the South Tower Lobby with submitters name, school, and contact information. The deadline for submission is December 22, 2017. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
We appreciate your school's participation and look forward to receiving the beautiful wreaths!
