Go Hiking, Biking, Canoeing, and Fishing at Florida State Parks

  • Tomoka State Park (Ormond Beach) – See endangered manatees and over 160 species of birds at this wildlife lover's paradise. Explore the half-mile nature trail or hit the fish-filled lagoon to go boating, fishing, or canoeing. You can rent canoes on-site.
  • Bulow Creek State Park (Ormond Beach) – Discover marshes and giant groves of live oaks in this 5,600-acre park – including the Fairchild Oak, one of the largest trees in the South. Hike to historic plantation ruins and watch for deer, owls, and raccoons.
  • Tiger Bay State Forest (Daytona Beach) – Romp through the wilderness – 28,000 acres of it – at this piney forest and wetland area with nine lakes and ponds. Horseback riding and off-road biking are popular at this park, which is just a few miles away from Downtown Daytona Beach.
  • North Peninsula State Park (Ormond Beach) – Boasting three miles of pristine shoreline just north of Daytona Beach, this coastal park is a great place to spot sea turtles from May through September. You'll also find paths for hiking and cycling.
